• Account information: name, university email address, mobile phone number
• Study content: lecture files (PDF, audio, slides) you upload to the platform
• Usage data: how you interact with the platform, features used, study sessions
• Payment information: processed securely by Stripe — we never store your card details
• Device information: browser type, operating system, IP address

3. How we use your information

• To provide the LectureAI service and process your lecture content
• To generate AI summaries, flashcards, and practice questions from your uploaded content
• To send you account-related emails (welcome, payment receipts, important updates)
• To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and duplicate accounts
• To improve the platform based on usage patterns

4. Your lecture content

Your uploaded lecture files are processed by Claude — Anthropic's AI — to generate study materials. Your content is:

• Stored securely on Cloudflare R2 (encrypted at rest)
• Never shared with other users
• Never used to train AI models
• Deleted when you delete your account or the lecture

5. Third-party services we use

• Anthropic Claude API — AI processing of your lecture content
• Stripe — payment processing
• Cloudflare R2 — file storage
• Railway — hosting infrastructure
• Nodemailer/SMTP — transactional emails

6. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data and uploaded content within 30 days.

7. Your rights (Australian Privacy Act 1988)

You have the right to: access your personal data, correct inaccurate data, request deletion of your data, and opt out of non-essential communications. Contact dylanraghvani@gmail.com to exercise these rights.

8. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), encrypted file storage, and secure authentication. However, no system is 100% secure — please use a strong password.
