Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using LectureAI, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Eligibility

LectureAI is available to university students with a valid institutional email address. You must be 18 years or older, or have parental consent if younger.

3. Your account

  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
  • You must not share your account with others
  • You must not create multiple accounts — this will result in suspension
  • One phone number per account — duplicate phone numbers will trigger an account review
  • You must provide accurate information when registering

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Upload content you do not have the right to use
  • Use the platform to violate copyright or intellectual property rights
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the platform
  • Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
  • Share or resell access to your account

5. Uploaded content

You retain ownership of all content you upload. By uploading, you grant LectureAI a limited licence to process your content using AI to generate study materials for your personal use. We do not claim ownership of your content.

6. AI-generated content

LectureAI uses Claude (Anthropic) to generate summaries, flashcards, and practice questions. AI-generated content may contain errors — always verify important information. LectureAI is a study aid, not a substitute for attending classes or reviewing official course materials.

7. Payment and refunds

  • Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually as selected
  • Annual plans are non-refundable after 14 days
  • Monthly plans can be cancelled at any time — you retain access until the end of the billing period
  • Lecture credit packs are non-refundable once used
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice to existing subscribers

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

  • Violate these terms
  • Create duplicate accounts
  • Attempt to abuse or circumvent platform limits
  • Provide false information at registration

9. Limitation of liability

LectureAI is provided “as is”. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding any claim.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
